Ken Nanakorn beats Jimmy Menguita 5-3, wins 8th All Asian 9 Ball Tour

Val Arceo (3rd placer), Jimmy Menguita (2nd placer), Ken Nanakorn (1st placer), and Tony Truong (4th placer)

Thailand’s Ken Nanakorn beat Philippines' Jimmy Menguita 5-3 in yesterday’s 8th All Asian 9 Ball Tournament at the Centre Carougeois de Billard. The Thai was in his flawless form as he came all out to capture the early lead 2-0. But Menquita tried to catch up by taking the next rack to the delight of the audience. However, Nanakorn persisted and kept on with his superb ball pocketing and brilliant safeties to secure the championship trophy.

In the battle for the 3rd place, Philippines' Val Arceo trashed Vietnam's Tony Truong 5-2 in a lop-sided battle. Arceo, who won the last two Asian Tours for both 8 and 9 Ball played perfect billiards as he easily moved on to take the 3rd place.

The PBC-Geneva thanks everyone who participated in this tournament and invites more Asians to join the next tournament this autumn.

Val Arceo lambasts Morris Leonor 5-3 , wins 6th All Asian 8 Ball Tournament

After bagging last month’s 7th All Asian 9-Ball Tournament, Philippines’ Val Arceo continued his winning streak as he lambasted his compatriot Morris Leonor 5-3 to capture the 6th All Asian 8-Ball Tournament at the Centre Carougeois de Billard..

Leonor gained the early lead as he took control of the early rack. Arceo fought it out and from then on it was a tit-for-tat battle until the 6th rack as both were tied with 3 racks each. But in the final 7th and 8th racks, Arceo came all out in both his offensive and defensive plays, pocketing and positioning his balls with perfect accuracy to bring home the crown.

In the other finals match, Vietnamese Tony Truong clobbered Japan’s Yoshi Hasegawa 5-1 to finish with 3rd place. Truong showed his superiority in the lop-sided match as he easily took control of the match rack after rack.
