Val Arceo tops Asian 9 Ball Tour, Pinoy cue artists dominate finals

PBC President Jerry Quinto presents the Asian 9-Ball Tournament Cup to Val Arceo

The Filipinos dominated the finals of the 1st Asian 9 Ball Tournament as Val Arceo demolished Banjo San Pedro 6-1 in a lopsided final to capture the crown yesterday at the Carouge Billiard Center. San Pedro was no match as Arceo easily dominated the game with perfect ball pocketing and accurate positioning of the cue ball.

Meanwhile in the battle for the 3rd place, the “mother of all miracles” occurred when Morris Leonor miraculously upset Jerry Quinto 6-5. Spectators were shocked and could not believe the mysterious defeat of Quinto.

Among the participants in the tournament included Long Phaly from Cambodia, Han Bin and Liang Zi Yue from China, Yoshi Hasegawa from Japan and Ken Nanakorn and Mie Udon from Thailand.

The Asian 9-Ball Tournament has been organised by the Philippine Billiard Club-Geneva. For photos of the event, please visit:
