Now its time for Asian 10-Ball Tournament

The first ever Asian 10-ball billiard tournament in Geneva will be held on the 26th of October, Sunday at 2pm at the Centre Carougeois de Billard, 36, av. du Cardinal-Mermillod, 1227 Carouge. As usual, players from Thailand, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Japan and the Philiipines will compete in this new billiard discipline which has started to become a more popular game in the world of pool. Ten-ball is very similar to 9 ball. It is a rotation game, however it is more difficult, using ten balls instead of nine, with the 10 as the "money-ball"

This new game Ten-ball is preferred over nine-ball by some professionals because according to them, it is a call shot game. It is also slightly harder to pocket any balls on the breakshot with the more crowded rack , and performing a string of breaks and runs on successive racks becomes increasingly difficult to achieve (statistically). There is a possibility that ten-ball will eventually eclipse nine-ball as the most popular professional tournament game. For rules of the game, see: http://www.wpa-pool.com/index.asp?content=rules_10ball

We are inviting all our kababayans and other Asians to join us in an afternoon of fun and pool competition. A registration fee of 30 CHF will be charged for each participant. Participants are requested to be present 15 minutes before game time.
