Jimmy Menguita nips Joseph Sycip 7-5, captures 19th Asian 9-Ball crown
It was another exciting finals match as Jimmy Menguita rallied against an onslaught by Joseph Sycip to win the championship 7-5 at the 19th Asian 9-Ball Tournament at the Centre Carougeois de Billard.
Sycip started with the fireworks by grabbing the first two racks and leading 2-0. Menguita took the third rack. Sycip went on to another offensive and kept the lead at 4-2 before Menguita was finally able to get back to his game and even up the score at 5-5. The last two racks finally went to Menguita for the final score 7-5.
In the battle for 3rd place, Leo Barroga stunned Morris Leonor 7-5. The rookie Barroga has surprised everyone with his performance by beating the more experience veteran players in the league on his way to the finals.

Chinese New Year begins with a bang as 19th Asian 9-Ball Tournament reels on 6 February
Gong Xi Fa Cai !!! or Happy Chinese New Year !!! The Asian Tours will be celebrating the Chinese New Year of the Rabbit with another big bang as the 19th Asian 9-Ball Tournament
blasts off this Sunday, 6 February, 2 pm at the best pool place in town, the Centre Carougeois de Billard.
As usual, the tournament will definitely be another exciting battle between the cue masters of Asia. The main sponsor, the Philippine Billiard Club of Geneva would like to invite pool players from the Asia region to come and join us.
