Val Arceo shocks Jimmy Menguita 7-5 to win 3rd Asian 10-Ball crown

It was like Lazarus coming back from the grave as Val Arceo shocked Jimmy Menguita in what could be the biggest come from behind victory in yesterday's 3rd Asian 10-Ball Tournament at the Centre Carougeois de Billard.

In blitzkreig fashion Jimmy Menguita started his attack and with superb pocketing and ball control and started nailing down Val Arceo. As Menguita led 5-1, everyone thought that the lead was too hard to overcome and that it was game over for Arceo.

However, miracles do happen especially in the Asian Tours as Val Arceo sprung out of the cold and brilliantly took control of the table with great pocketing, cue positioning and defensive safeties and rallied from behind taking 6 straight racks to the delight of the crowd and finally winning a spectacular 7-5 victory over Menguita.

In the battle for 3rd place, rookie Leo Barroga slammed Frankie Federigan in a rack-to-rack battle. The Philippine Billiard Club-Geneva would like to thank the participants and fans for another successful Asian tournament. We hope to see you again next month for the 21st Asian 9-Ball Tournament.
