It was a one-sided battle as John Torres massacred Val Arceo 7-1 at the 23rd Asian 9-Ball Tournament at the Centre Carougeois de Billard. Torres started his blitzkreig attack by taking the lead in the early racks by splendid pocketing and perfect positioning of the balls. He was very much in control of the game as he limited Arceo to only one rack.
In the finals match for
the 3rd place, Jimmy Menguita trounced Ken Nanakorn 5-2. Menguita
who was considered the underdog, played one of his best pool games by
combining offensive pocketing and ball positioning and defensive
safeties.
